Elsewhere, linseed oil also slipped due to subdued demand from paint and allied industries.
While, castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial firmed up owing to good demand from soaps and shippers industries.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil maintained a steady trend in the absence of any large-scale buying.
In the edible segment, refined palmolein edged down by Rs 6 per 10 kg to Rs 528 as against Wednesday's close of Rs 534 and groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 940 per 10 kg.
However, castor seed bold rose by Rs 70 per 100 kg to Rs 4,650 as against Rs 4,580 and castor oil commercial gained by Rs 14 per 10 kg to Rs 960 as compared to yesterday's close at Rs 946 previously.
