Refined palmolein hardens on heavy demand

Refined palmolein hardened at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here due to heavy demand from retailers on the back of lower supply positions.
However, groundnut oil slipped due to stockist selling amid subdued offtake from retailers.
In the non-edible segment, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial declined on lower demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseeds oil ruled steady in the absence of any major buying activity.
In the edible segment, refined palmolein surged by Rs 7 per 10kg to Rs 512 from last Saturday's closing of Rs 505. However, groundnut oil declined by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 980 as against Rs 985 previously.

Moving to non-edible segment, Castorseeds bold fell by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 4,050 from previous closing level of Rs 4,100 and castoroil commercial eased by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 840 as against Rs 850 last weekend.
Linseeds oil closed unchanged at Rs 770 per 10 kg.
