At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in far-month July fell by Rs 3.55 or 0.54 per cent to Rs 655.25 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,09,660 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in June contracts moved down by Rs 2.35, or 0.36 per cent to Rs 641.70 per 10 kg in 31,730 lots.
Analysts said the reduction of positions by traders, driven by adequate stocks position on higher supplies from producing regions in the physical market against muted demand mainly kept refined soya oil prices lower at futures trade.
