Refined soya oil futures rise 0.36 pc as demand picks up

Refined soya oil prices were up by 0.36 per cent to Rs 668 per 10 kg in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions after demand picked up in the spot market.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in January month rose by Rs 2.40, or 0.36 per cent to Rs 668 per 10 kg with an open interest of 130 lots.
However, the oil for delivery in February contract held steady at Rs 660 per 10 kg in 77,960 lots.
Analysts said speculators enlarged their positions on the back of rising demand in the spot market.
