However, workers with only those contractors who had employed more than ten workers with him/her would be registered and entitled to the government benefits DC, Hamirpur, Ashish Singhmar, said while presiding over a meeting of construction workers welfare board here today.
He said all such workers would be given medical benefits to the tune of Rs 5,000 per annum on presentation of the bills to the concerned authority and financial assistance to the tune of Rs 1,000 to Rs 4,000 to the children of workers for education on the basis of the fee paid by them.
He said the board would also give skill development allowance to enable the youth to undergo the skill development training.
