Over one lakh pilgrims from across the country have till now registered for this year's Amarnath yatra in south Kashmir Himalayas beginning from July 2.
"Advance registration has crossed the one lakh mark. This registration is being done through the 432 bank branches of Punjab National Bank, J&K Bank and YES Bank which are spread over 32 States and UTs", CEO Amarnathji Shrine Board, P K Tripathi said here.
The 48-day pilgrimage will commence from July 2 and conclude on August 18, the day of Raksha Bandhan, he said.
He said that 7,500 pilgrims per day are permitted to undertake the yatra along the two routes, via Baltal and Pahalgam.
The list of bank branches which have been authorized to undertake advance registration of yatris is available on shrine board's website www.Shriamarnathjishrine.Com.
The procedure for securing different types of registrations for pilgrims is also up on the site.
The CEO also stressed on the need to obtain compulsory health certificate (CHC) from authorized government doctors or designated medical institutes in the states.
The state wise list of doctors who are authorized to issue health certificates is available on the website, he said.
Tripathi has also appealed pilgrims to obtain advance registration to avoid inconvenience in undertaking the yatra.

Meanwhile, Director General of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) K Durga Prasad said the decision to resume the yatra will be taken after assessing the developments that emerge in the state.
"Yatra is suspended. Full protection to the yatris will be provided wherever they are. Their hundred per cent safety will be taken care of by us.
"Further decision on when the yatra will commence will be taken as the developments emerge. As of now yatris are the priorities and we will leave no stone unturned to provide, whatever comforts we can give, to them," he said in Delhi.
The CRPF is nodal agency to provide security to the pilgrims.
