These fraud dealers had cumulatively declared a turnover of Rs 389.79 crore during the last financial year.
"The Enforcement Branch of the Department raided a number of premises of the dealers by constituting various inspection teams of the officers.
"Value Added Tax Inspectors (VATIs) visited the various premises and 25 high risk dealers were found with bogus declared turnover of Rs 389.79 crore for the year 2013-14 and registration certificates of such dealers were cancelled," Commissioner (Trade & Tax) Sanjiv Khirwar said today.
He also directed concerned officials to detect the chain of sale of such dealers and take strict action as per the provision of Delhi Value Added Tax Act, 2004.
