Registration of mafia don's youth organisation annulled

The Cuttack district administration today cancelled the registration of Cuttack Nagar Yuvak Sangha, a social organisation in the city floated by Sushil Dhalasamant, who was arrested in January this year on several charges of murder, kidnap and extortion.
Sushil was the President of the Sangha.
Cuttack Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Laxmidhar Mohanty, who is also the Additional Registration Officer of the district, cancelled the registration of the Yuvak Sangha under Section 12-D of Societies Registration Act-1860.
A notice was issued to the organisation last month asking it to show cause by April 4 as to why its registration shall not be cancelled.

"Since the organisation did not reply to the show- cause notice within the stipulated time, its registration was cancelled ex parte", Mohanty said adding that the organisation was registered under the Act in 2014 for the purpose of doing social work and charity.
