World's largest luxury exchange programme, the Registry Collection, has entered the country by signing on the Jim Corbett-based five-star resort Rangers Club as its maiden affiliate here.
"We have just signed on the Rangers Club at Jim Corbett, marking our entry into this market," Registry Collection global vice-president Gregg H Anderson has told PTI here on the sidelines on the 40th anniversary of its parent RCI, formerly Resort Condominiums International.
The Collection will have four more properties in the country over the next two years, Anderson said, adding it has 240 affiliates across the globe--150 in the US, 22 in the Caribbeans, 12 in Asia-Pacific, 14 in Europe, among others.
"The Rangers Club is a 48-room five-star facility on a 40-acre plot, and we are proud to be the first member of the Registry Collection from the country," the Nainital-based Club Group of Hotels and Resorts chairman Atul Sharma, who owns the Rangers Club, told PTI.
Sharma said already the group has developed 48 rooms and invested Rs 150 crore, and the second phase will see Rs 100 crore more investments to develop 100 rooms.
When asked about the membership fee, Sharma said it is Rs 15 lakh for a life-time entry. He has already roped in two members, he added.
The Registry Collection offers high-end fractional resorts, private luxe residence clubs, select whole ownership properties, fractional yachts and condo-hotels, and has around 240 of the world's finest vacation properties across the globe catering to the specific needs of members and affiliates in the luxury segment.
The Collection says it serves nearly 24,000 members offering them incredible vacation experiences through relationships with a host of leading service providers.
