'Regular interaction with artists to be held at district level

A regular interaction with artists and artisans will be held at the district level in Nagaur to redress their grievances and to promote their art.
In a first-of-its-kind meeting with artisans, District Collector Rajan Vishal said that when everything is going digital, it was immensely needed to promote folk art to conserve it for the generations to come.
Nearly 200 artisans and artists attended the meeting in which it was also decided to constitute a representative body of the artisans at the district-level.
The collector said the district administration will hold a meeting with the body once in three months.

Artists from all 13 tehsils of the district attended the meeting which also included national and state-level award winning artists.
