Gopkumar, who succeeds Vikrant Gugnani, has over 20 years of industry experience. He has handled various assignments across varied functions, including direct sales, priority banking, marketing, product development, broking and distribution.
Prior to joining Reliance Capital, he worked for Kotak Securities.
"We would like to welcome Gopkumar as the new CEO of our broking, distribution and wealth management businesses and look forward to these businesses achieving aggressive growth under his leadership," Reliance Capital Executive Director Sam Ghosh said in a statement.
The distribution division of the company branded as Reliance Money offers access to mutual funds, insurance products and other financial products.
