Reshuffle in West Bengal bureaucracy

West Bengal government today removed Additional Chief Secretary of the commerce and industries department Rajiva Sinha within six months of his posting and brought back S Kishore, who was earlier in-charge of the department.
Kishore had been Principal Secretary of the power and non-conventional energy sources (NES) department.
In a bureaucratic reshuffle, Sinha was made additional chief secretary of MSME and textiles department, said a notification issued by personnel and administrative reforms and e-commerce department.
Sinha was made the industries secretary in February.
Nandini Chakravorty, secretary of the food processing industries and horticulture Department, would now also hold additional charge as secretary of the industry, commerce and enterprises department, the notification said.
Sunil Kumar Gupta, who was the principal secretary of the water resource investigation and development department with additional charge of the fisheries department was moved to the power and NES department, it added.
Principal secretary of the irrigation and waterways department Naveen Praksh would now hold additional charge of principal of the water resource investigation and development department.
Dr Ravi Inder Singh, secretary of the industry, commerce and enterprises department was shifted as the secretary of the fisheries department, the notification said.
