Retired varsity official sets up trust in Kalam's memory

A retired official of Bharathiar University here has donated Rs.One lakh to start a trust in the name of former president Dr A P J Abdul Kalam for providing scholarship to nano science students.
One meritorious research student in Nano Science department would be given research scholarship from the interest accruing on the corpus donated by N Manoharan, a university release said today.
The scholarship will be given on the birthday of late president, falling on October 15, the release said.
