Revenue official in vigilance net
Press Trust of India Chandigarh Sleuths of Punjab Vigilance Bureau today arrested a revenue official when he was allegedly accepting Rs 20,000 from a person in Gurdaspur district, an official said.
A spokesperson of the Bureau said Patwari Maninder Singh was nabbed on the complaint of Rachpal Singh, resident of village Nadiawala Patti in Gurdaspur district.
Rachpal had lodged a complaint against the Patwari for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 20,000 from him for mutation of land.
Sleuths of the Bureau laid a trap and arrested the Patwari, the spokesperson said.
