Representatives of various government departments and PSU will review implementation of the schemes at Barpeta district of Assam under the Aspirational Districts programme of the NITI Aayog.
Barpeta is one of the seven districts in Assam chosen by the NITI Aayog for the Aspirational District programme.
The programme aims to quickly and effectively improve the performance of these districts across identified key performance indicators.
"The main agenda of the meeting is to review the progress of the schemes launched by the Central and state governments in Barpeta under Aspirational Districts programme," Press Information Bureau Director General (North East) Kuldeep Singh Dhatwalia told PTI here.
The meeting will also see the implementation of schemes under sustainable development goal in the district.
"This programme identified 49 key performance indicators to measure progress of the districts. Health, nutrition, education, agriculture, water resources, financial inclusion, skill development and basic infrastructure are the core areas of focus," said Dhatwalia, who will chair the meet.
Along with state government departments, representatives from central departments such as Railways, Income Tax, Insurance, Banking and prominent public sector undertakings will also take part in the meeting and present progress of the respective sectors.
