"Pillai has filed a case of domestic violence against Paes, his father Vece Paes and has sought monthly maintenance of about Rs four lakh," Paes' advocate Pervez Memon said today.
The case, filed yesterday, is likely to come up for hearing on June 30, he said.
The couple has already been fighting for the custody of their eight-year-old daughter.
Pillai, in her complaint, has accused Paes' father of preventing her and her daughter from entering their Carter Road residence.
Paes had last month filed 'a guardianship petition' in the family court here seeking permanent custody of his daughter from Pillai.
