The Brazilian team will meet Indonesia in the semifinals, to be played on October 18. The winner of that match will then take on finalist MSP School from Kerala on October 20.
Today's match at the Dr Ambedkar Stadium here saw the two teams sweat it out before the Brazilian side managed to prevail over its Asian opponents.
The Nepalese team, particularly goalkeeper Arpan Karki, showed some good, clever defence to deter the Brazilian school from scoring for the major part of the match.
Nepal, meanwhile, failed to pierce the Brazilian defence to equalise, let alone surpassing them to get a semifinal berth.
