Titled "Wraiths of the Broken Land," the film is an adaptation of S Craig Zahler's novel, reported Digital Spy.
Published in 2013, the novel revolved around two kidnapped sisters forced into prostitution in Mexico. Their two brothers and father storm across the badlands in order to rescue them.
The project will be produced by Scott Free's Michael Schaefer, Genre Films' Simon Kinberg, Aditya Sood and Drew Goddard.
The legendary director is currently working on "Alien: Covenant".
