Rijiju visits Gunji, Kalapani ITBP posts in Uttarakhand

Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju today visited ITBP posts in Gunji and Kalapani to take stock of the defence infrastructure and projects in these border areas.
"The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs reached Gunji at 10.30 AM from New Delhi and held a meeting with the officers of SSB and ITBP regarding their needs and the difficulties being faced by the paramilitary forces in this part of Indo-China and Indo-Nepal border," Pithoragarh District Magistrate Sushil Kumar said.
According to the district magistrate, Rijiju would spend the night today at Nabhidhang rest house, close to Indo-China border, and fly for Delhi on October 19 from there.

"The minister will travel over eight kms from Kalapani to Nabhidhang on foot to reach the last border post near the Indo-China border where he would stay tonight," Kumar said.
