Rishabh, Simran in final

Simran outclassed second seed from Russia, Ksenija Sharifova 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 in a marathon two-hour and 30-minute battle, while it was a facile win for Agarwal after Mehdi Abid of Tunisia conceded 6-4, 3-0 after struggling with back pain.

Simran dropped her serve to give Sharifova a 2-0 lead but before going down in the first set 6-1.

In the second, the fourth seed grabbed four consecutive games from being 0-1 down to take a 4-1 lead.

Simran levelled the match by winning the second set 6-3 while in the decider, she broke the Russian twice to make it to the final.

In the boys singles, Rishabh broke Mehdi Abid at a crucial 4-4 in the opening set to win it 6-4.

During the set break, Abid took some medical assistance for his back pain, after which he continued the play but went down 0-3 in less than 20 minutes.

He finally could not carry on as Rishabh booked the final berth.

Meanwhile, Chinese Taipei duo of Wei De Lin and Shao Chi Yang clinched the boys doubles title, while the Indian pair of Snehadevi Reddy and Dhruti Tatachar claimed the girls doubles.

Girls Doubles Final: Snehadevi Reddy/Dhruti Tatachar (IND) bt Anastasia Prokopenko (UKR)/Ksenija Sharifova (RUS)(4) 3-6, 6-3, 11-9.
