RoadMin seeks Rs 1,000 cr to improve civic facilities in F'bad

The Road Ministry has requested the Urban Development Ministry to consider granting Rs 1,000 crore from the National Capital Region Planning Board Fund to improve civic facilities in Faridabad, which is a part of NCR.
"The Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Krishan Pal Gurjar has requested the Minister for Urban Development, HUPA and Parliamentary Affairs M Venkaiah Naidu to consider granting Rs 1,000 crore from the National Capital Region Planning Board Fund for improving civic facilities in Faridabad," Ministry of Road Transport & Highways said in a statement.
Gurjar requested Naidu to extend the metro services up to Palwal which falls in Faridabad parliamentary constituency, and connect Gurgaon to Faridabad with a metro network, it said.
The Minister also requested Naidu to ensure cleaning of the Yamuna river and also Agra and Gurgaon canals.
