Robin Wright is in final talks to join Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling in the planned "Blade Runner" sequel.
The "House of Cards" star has been circling the project for weeks and reports suggested she was waiting for her filming schedule on the hit Netflix political drama before agreeing to sign on, reported Variety.
Now it appears she has worked out the timing and she is poised to take on one of three major female roles in the sci-fi movie.
"Sicario" filmmaker Denis Villeneuve is on board as director, working with a script penned by the original "Blade Runner" co-writer Hampton Fancher and Michael Green.
The screenplay is based on an idea Fancher previously developed with Ridley Scott, who took charge of the 1982 classic.
Ford will reprise his robot hunter character Rick Deckard for the long-awaited follow-up, which is expected to begin shooting in July.
