Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma has been fined after his team maintained a slow over rate during last evening's IPL cricket match against Royal Challengers Bangalore here.
"Since it was his first offence of the season under the IPL's Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Mr. Sharma was fined Rs 12 lakh," read a statement issued by tournament organisers today.
Rohit led from the tournament, scoring a 15-ball 42 as Mumbai Indians recorded their first win of the IPL at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
