Rohtang Pass receives snowfall

Rohtang Pass, the gateway to Lahaul Valley, received more than four inches of snowfall Saturday following which the Kunzum Pass has been closed.

Manali-Spiti valley has been cut off for vehicular traffic whereas traffic on Manali-Lahaul was running smooth.

The valley was already experiencing a prolonged monsoon and now this early snowfall has raised problems for orchardists.

The surrounding areas of Manali received heavy rainfall since morning.
