Titled "Blue & Lonesome," the album will release on December 2, reported Aceshowbiz.
The album will feature 12 tracks, recorded in three days at London's British Grove Studios, all cover songs by classic bluesmen, including Howlin' Wolf ('Commit a Crime'), Little Walter ('I Gotta Go') and Jimmy Reed ('Little Rain').
Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood were joined by their long-time touring musicians Darryl Jones, Chuck Leavell and Matt Clifford as well as Clapton for the recording.
The album will take the band "back to their roots and the passion for blues music which has always been at the heart and soul of The Rolling Stones."
The band's last album called "A Bigger Bang" was released back in 2005.
