'Romantic Encounter' wins main event

'Romantic Encounter' ridden by jockey S Kabdhar and trained by R Foley won the Dr Gnani Laksumanan Memorial Cup, the chief event of the races held here today.
The winner is owned by Dr M A M Ramaswamy.
Trainer Foley saddled five winners while jockey Miss N Rupa rode two winners.
Four favourites obliged in a card of nine events.
