Excise officials, during a check, intercepted a car fromChokli in Kannur district to Kozhikode side around 11. 45 pm yesterday and found the cash hidden under the driver's seat, Chombla police said.
Rishad (32) of Purameri in the district, who was drivingthe car was handed over to Chombla police today along with the cash in two packets and the vehicle, after questioning.
Rishad has been arrested as he failed account for the cash.
