Responding to a question raised by BJP member Japu Deru during question hour, the chief minister informed that the amount was taken on 9 per cent simple interest and the total amount would be adjusted from the free power that would be available to the state government from various projects executed by the power giant in the state.
He said, out of the total amount, Rs 180 crore was paid as equity and another 20 crore as soft loan by the bank. Moreover, the bank also refunded an amount of 20 crore along with accrued interest of Rs 56.12 lakh to the state government, he added.
