Rs 50 lakh ransom demand for release of kidnapped trader

Kidnappers of Mithilesh Prasad Sah, a hardware trader of Babu Barhi area in Madhubani, today demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh for his release.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Jainagar, Sudhir Kumar said the family members of Sah have received text messages for ransom on their cell phones.
"SIM cards of Nepal are being used to send the messages and we are in touch with the counterparts in Himalayan kingdom in this connection," Kumar said.
Sah was kidnapped last Monday while returning to his residence in Bagulwa village under Lagania police station in the district after closing his shop.
He remained untraceable ever since.
