Announcement in this regard was made by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu.
He said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, gave approval for distribution of the compensation amount of Rs 967,01,29,000 among the affected farmers of five districts through RTGS/NEFT system from March 12, 2016 onwards.
The Revenue Minister said that compensation amounting to Rs 320 crore and Rs 229 crore would be distributed in the districts of Sirsa and Hisar, respectively. Similarly, compensation amounting to Rs 144 crore, Rs 140, crore and Rs 131 crore would be distributed in the districts of Jind, Fatehabad and Bhiwani, respectively.
