In the H1 of 2014-15, RSP produced over 15 lakh tonnes (LT) of hot metal, 13.52 LT crude steel and 12.82 LT of saleable steel, thereby clocking growth of 27.4 per cent, 23.2 per cent and 18.3 per cent, respectively over the corresponding period last year, an RSP release said today.
Besides, highest ever production performance was also recorded in many other areas like sinter production (22.76 LT) and HR Coil Total (8.32 LT).
On the techno-economics front, too, the performance of the plant was remarkable, the release said.
With Specific Energy Consumption of 6.583 Giga calorie per tonne of crude steel and coke rate of 518 kg per tonne of hot metal, RSP clocked its best performance for any H1, it said.
