Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has registered its "best-ever" production performance in "all major areas", including hot metal, in the first quarter of the 2018-19 fiscal.
The plant produced a record 9,32,235 tonnes of hot metal in Q1, registering a growth of 28.1 per cent over the corresponding period last year, RSP said in a release.
Earlier in the year, CEO Ashwini Kumar had conducted 'Goal Cascading Workshops' for major units of the plant.
"The strategy has started achieving fruition as is evident from the performance of the plant in the first quarter of the fiscal," the release added.
