The incident took place yesterday morning when Roseway was doing parikrama and the two youths attacked her, Kotwali in-charge Akhilesh Tripathi said.
One of the two accused knocked her down and seized her bag. However, she got up and caught hold of the other youth who then started harassing her.
Upon hearing the woman's cries, a priest came to her rescue, seeing whom the youth fled from the spot.
The looted bag contained Rs 1,000 besides several important documents, the police officer added.
