"Irudhi Suttru" was screened at the prestigious film festival yesterday. Madhavan had whisked his family off to Japan to attend the festival.
"I was bowled over by the response that the film got at the Tokyo International Film Festival. There were fans waiting to greet me, hug me and some even touched my feet. It feels amazing to get so much love in another country," Madhavan said in an statement here.
"Saala Khadoos", a sports drama film directed by Sudha Kongara, was shot in Tamil and Hindi simultaneously and featured Madhavan in the lead role of a boxing coach with newcomer Ritika Singh as an aspiring boxer.
