Actor Sacha Baron Cohen has come aboard for Netflix drama series "The Spy".
The "Dictator" star will play the role of legendary Israeli spy Eli Cohen in the film, the streaming giant announced in a press statement.
Eli Cohen was one of the most legendary spies in the world who lived in Damascus undercover in the beginning of the '60s, spying for Israel. He managed to embed himself into Syrian high society and rise through the ranks of their politics.
The six-episode series, to be directed by Gideon Raff, will follow the story of Cohen and his role as a spy for Israel in Syria in the early 1960s.
It will be produced by Lgende Films and Alain Goldman.
