Hitting out at AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal for adopting "dual standards" on Sutlej Yamuna Link canal issue in the Supreme court, the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal today burnt an effigy of the Delhi Chief Minister at the district headquarters here.
SAD district President Gurcharan Singh Channi, who lead the protest called Kejriwal an "outsider" and criticised him for demolition of a water kiosk 'Piao' at the Gurdwara Sisganj Sahib in the national capital.
Municipal officials demolished a water kiosk at Gurdwara Sisganj Sahib on April 6 in a drive to remove encroachments following a Delhi High Court order on March 28.
"When Kejriwal comes here he says that Punjab's water should not be shared but when he goes back he support's Harayana's claim for water sharing," the SAD leader said while accusing the Delhi CM of playing "dual games" with Punjab.
"His dual standards will not work anymore as Punjab's people are aware his lies now," Channi added.
