Salgaocar FC, following a defeat to Mohun Bagan, bounced back to beat East Bengal 3-1 in their last match to move to eighth place with as many points from 10 matches after lying at the bottom of the table.
Salgaocar received a setback early in the match against East Bengal when they lost their main striker Darryl Duffy due to injury, but Thongkhosiem Haokip made up for his absence scoring twice to give the team its first win at home.
Salgaocar FC coach Santosh Kashyap will be hoping for a repeat performance.
"Our team has been performing well, creating chances but lack of scoring has either led to our defeats or draws. The win against East Bengal has raised the confident of our boys and with Mumbai FC not doing well of late we have a good chance to win tomorrow at home," stated Kashyap.
Mumbai FC, after a good start, struggled midway into the league as they collected just three points from their last six matches to remain on fifth place with 11 points from 10 games.
