Reality TV star Sanam Johar has won the first season of talent hunt show 'Dare 2 Dance' by defeating co-contestants Emilie Caillon and Kunwar Amar.
The 23-year-old Delhi boy, who is known for his stint in 'Dance India Dance 3', said he is happy to win the reality show.
After impressing the audience and show's host Akshay Kumar with his hard work and dedication, Sanam walked away with prize money of Rs 25 Lakh, a high-end car, bike and one year contract with Life Ok! channel.
"I am very happy. I have participated in many reality shows in the past but this is the first time I have won any show. I entered the show with a strong feeling of winning it," Sanam told PTI after winning the show.
'Dare 2 Dance' was shot entirely in Cape Town, South Africa and the participating 10 dancers had to prove their mettle in extreme conditions.
"It was very difficult to perform in extreme conditions of cold, underwater and on the rooftop. I got bruises while performing many acts. It needed a dare to do that," he said.
Sanam credited show's host Akshay for winning the challenge.
"Akshay sir is behind my win. Unlike other hosts, he used to perform in such conditions first and then he used to give that dare to us. He helped me in many ways. He was like a father figure to us. He scolded and praised us like our parents," he said.
Sanam is now planning to take up acting next.
