A Division Bench comprising Justice V K Shukla and Justice M C Tripathi asked the respondent authorities to file their reply by February 17 on the petition of Pandey, who was a visiting faculty member in the departments for Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology in the campus.
The petitioner has alleged that he was appointed as a visiting professor by a resolution of the Board of Governors of the varsity passed on December 21 last year, but the same was revoked on January 16 following accusations that he had been indulging in activities that were "anti-national" and "sympathetic towards naxals".
