Sarabhai Chemicals workers protest over salary dues

Workers of Sarabhai Chemicals today protested outside the venue of the company's annual general meeting here over alleged nonpayment of their salaries.
"Protesting workers who have not been paid their salaries for the past 20 months were demanding clarity over the company's accounts," said general secretary of the Workers' Union S Y Pradhan near Chandravadan Mehta Auditorium, the venue of the 34th AGM of the company.
He alleged that company owners have earned large sums of money by selling lands, but they have not paid their workers and employees despite a high court order.
"Company owners do not wish to share information of the land sale, because if they do so, they will be forced to pay their workers," he said.
