Satyarthi, who is on a two-day visit to Nepal, said that he had visited the earthquake-struck districts and recommended the formula to constitute a high-powered authority to look after the reconstruction affairs at a national level and an international coordination committee to keep Nepal's image intact in international arena.
The Indian children's rights activist has presented this recommendation to Nepal's Prime Minister Sushil Koirala along with leaders of various political parties who have taken it positively.
While the international coordination committee should have the Prime Minister, opposition party leader, government representatives, civil society members and private sector.
The Nobel Laureate pledged to take up with the international community the problems faced by Nepalese school children during his visits to Norway, Germany and US beginning tomorrow.
"The sense of patience shown by Nepali people and children's interest to go to their schools has enchanted me", he noted, calling upon the government, guardians and other stakeholders to be cautious to potential trafficking of children in the quake-hit districts.
