On March 14, the students would be administered an oath to conserve plants and trees and make sincere efforts towards conservation of sparrows, Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan said in a directive issued in this regard.
He said awareness will also be spread among the students to make the state clean and green under 'CleanUP - Green UP'.
The Chief Secretary said the students would also be administered an oath not to use plastic and contribute towards protecting the environment.
He said persons and forest officials working in the field of sparrow protection would be felicitated with 'Gauraiya Mittra' award.
He said 'Gauraiya Diwas' would be celebrated in a big way at Janeshwar Mishra park on March 20 and Chief Minister would be requested to inaugurate the event.
