During a surprise checking of various schools across the state by Commission Chairman Rajesh Bagha earlier this month, it was noticed SC/BC students did not get the text books despite starting of academic session a month ago.
Considering the apathetic approach of the Education and Welfare Department towards SC/BC students, Bagha directed it to ensure the availability and delivery of books to the students within fortnight, an official spokesman said here today.
