"Need for Speed" helmer Scott Waugh has been roped in to direct action thriller "Blackout".
The film will revolve around cop given a task of transporting a criminal across town when a city-wide blackout disrupts them, causing chaos, reported Digital Spy.
The former stunt director has previously worked on "Act of Valor".
Sidney King has penned the script of "Blackout" with revisions made by the film's co-producer Brooks McLaren.
As of now, no big Hollywood names are attached to the project, which will be funded and produced by Sierra/Affinity.
