"Scream 4" hit theaters in 2011 and producer Weinstein now wants his brother, Bob, who produced all four previous "Scream" releases, to direct the sequel, reported the Huffinton Post.
"Everyone lived in 'Scream 4'. I'm begging him to do the movie and just end it. We've milked that cow," Weinstein said via MovieWeb.
The first three horror films did well at the box office but the fourth movie made only USD 97 million worldwide.
The producers are also planning to keep the franchise alive on the small screen in the form of an MTV series. The pilot will be directed by franchise's original helmer Wes Craven.
