SDATN opens new range for shooters

In a bid to encourage more shooters in the state, Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDATN) has established a shooting range near suburban Avadi in association with the state police department.
Located at Tamil Nadu Special Police III Battalion in Veerapuram, the range has facility for 10 M air-conditioned indoor range, 25 M and 50 M outdoor ranges for air rifle shooting with electronic scoring, SDATN Member Secretary K Rajaraman said in a release.
Those willing to practice at the range can contact the SDATN and will need to bring their own rifles, the release said.
