For the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) residents accessing their property tax details and records is going to be an easy affair.
The corporation on its website added a facility earlier this week under the head 'Link Your Record' to enable property owners update their records on taxes paid.
The residents of the area can click on the 'Link Your Record' which will prompt them to enter their Unique Property Identification Code (UPIC) and then they would be asked to update the records.
South Delhi mayor Shyam Sharma said property owners will be able to update their payment details since 2008 with 'Link Your Record'. He said property tax paid online and offline are being linked with a single ID.
The UPIC Cards for 80 per cent of property owners in the South and Najafgarh zones of SDMC have been issued while work is on to provide it to remaining property owners in all four zones, said additional commissioner Ram Mohan Singh.
The UPIC ID has also been generated for those properties for which the tax was deposited in 2014-2015.
Also for updating records the users will have to select the tax payment mode-on line or offline.
In the online mode, the user will enter property id and receipt number of the tax paid. In the offline mode, the G-8 receipt number will be entered and receipt uploaded.
