West Bengal Congress chief Pradip Bhattyacharya today appealed to the state Election Commission to make an enquiry into cases where no nomination for panchayat election could be filed by his party and others in some areas.
Besides, the Commission should also make arrangements so that those who could not file nomination papers might get another opportunity to submit documents, WBPCC president Bhattacharya told a party rally at Koratberia.
He alleged that because of the "terror unleashed by the Trinamool Congress workers", many candidates of his party and others could not file nomination in many areas.
