Cyberabad Police will soon give security assessment inputs to Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR), a senior officer said today.
Expressing satisfaction over the world-class security arrangements being made at the depot and at stations, Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand informed HMR Managing Director N V S Reddy that the security assessment inputs would be given soon to metro authorities.
Reddy and Anand along with senior police officers and engineers of L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad Ltd (LTMRHL) inspected Uppal Metro Rail depot, Operation Control Centre (OCC) and stage I metro stations today to assess security arrangements of the project, which is scheduled to open in March 2015.
LTMRHL, a subsidiary of construction and engineering giant L&T, is developing the elevated metro rail which will cover a total distance of 72 km with three corridors comprising 66 stations.
By March 2015, stage one (eight kms stretch from Nagole to Mettuguda) will be operational for which test runs have already started.
