The security at the airport had been tightened since yesterday after the airport authorities received information from Kolkata that there was a threat to the Air India flight on the Mumbai-Kochi and Ahemedabad-Mumbai sectors.
The Mumbai-Kochi flight arrived here at 7.40 AM this morning amid high security. There were 123 passengers and six crew on board the aircraft.
Airport Director A K C Nair had said that they received information from Kolkata that there was a threat of bomb attack or bomb suicide attack on an AI flight on the Mumbai-Kochi sector on October 25 and Ahmedabad-Mumbai sector last night.
